Our Foundation: Active Insurance was founded in 1960 by Al and Joan Korach with the purpose of providing excellent quality insurance services to Chicago residents. Our company has steadily grown as our customers have referred their friends and family to us. Growth: The first office of Active Insurance was on Lawrence Avenue across from the Aragon Ballroom. In 1989 we relocated to 1301 N. Ashland, the site of our present offices. Rebecca Korach (B.A. University of Pennsylvania, M.B.A. University of Chicago) became the head of the company in 1991. She has continued the high quality service of the family-run business and expanded its focus to include new markets. Active Insurance has stayed focused on the customer by remaining an independent agent. We strongly believe that we best serve our customers by being able to place insurance with many companies, not with just one. Our capable team of representatives answer the phones. You'll never find an impersonal call center staff or a nasty receptionist here! Active Insurance has also expanded its service to non-English-based communities. Seventeen of our full-time employees are bilingual in Spanish and one is bilingual in Polish. We welcome this diversity and you will soon find pages in this web site in Spanish.
